Willie Henry Craft

Mr. Willie Henry Craft, 76, of 337 Concord Road, Chatham, Virginia departed this life Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in Piney Forest Health and Rehabilitation Center in Danville.
He was born June 26, 1942 in Pittsylvania County. He was the son of the late Cornelius and Florence Clark Craft. He was married to Jerline Hodnett Craft, who predeceased him.
He was a member of Cherrystone Baptist Church and a member of the Deacon Board. He was retired from Ennis Business Forms. He was inducted into the Pittsylvania County Sports Hall of Fame. Craft was a U.S.A. Army veteran.
In addition to his parents and wife he was predeceased by three sisters, Patty, Thelma and Aletha Craft.
Survivors include sons, Edward Craft, of Chatham, and Marcus Waller, of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Sandra Gordan, of Long Island, NY; three brothers, Lester Craft, of Washington, D.C., Jester Craft (Lillie), and Cornelius Craft, all of Chatham, VA; two sisters, Josephine C. King (Donald), of Clementon, N.J. and Peggy C. Hightower (Willie), of Winterhaven, FL; three sister in-law, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be Monday, May 6, 2019 at 12 noon from Cherrystone Baptist Church by Rev. Jimmy L. Tarpley. Burial with military rites will be in the church cemetery
Viewing will be Sunday from 4-7 p.m. from the chapel of Howerton Funeral Home.
The family is at the residence 337 Concord Road, Chatham.
