William Clyde Herndon

Mr. William Clyde Herndon, of 239 Rocky Lane, Danville, Virginia, departed this life Wednesday, October 6. 2021, in the Veteran Hospital in Salem, Virginia.

He was born December 18, 1955 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. He was the son of the late James and Roberta Price Herndon.

He was a member of Guildfield Baptist Church, and a Veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include two sons, William Herndon, of Chatham, VA and Damiano Brandon, SC; one daughter, Sharika Herndon, of Danville, VA; four grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Jean Jones, of Chatham, VA; one aunt, Mable Irene Yarbrough, of Dry Fork, VA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Howerton Funeral Home by Rev. Doris Morrison. Viewing will be one hour prior to service.

Burial with Military Rites will be in the Herndon Family Cemetery, Dry Fork, VA.

Masks are required for all services.
