Miss. Uniqua A. Carter, 31, of 12821 Franklin Turnpike, Chatham, Virginia, departed this life Wednesday, August 7, 2024.
She was born January 11, 1993 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. She was the daughter of Tracy C. Tarpley and Leconnie Artis. A sister, Quanesha Carter, predeceased her.
Survivors include a son, JaMari T. Carter and a devoted companion, Lewis Hodnett, both of the residence; a grandmother, Julia Carter, of Chatham and grandfather, John Carter of Danville; a sister, Charmaine C. Strader (Brandon), a brother, Donte R. Carter, all of Danville; two special friends, Mariah Stephens and Larissa Lozano; other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Howerton Funeral Home with Pastor Prence Anna Craft, Eulogist. Viewing will be one hour prior to the service.
The family will receive visitors Sunday and Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the residence of Mr. Lewis Hodnett, 12821 Franklin Turnpike, Chatham, Va.
