Obituary
Mr. Thornton Willis Younger, 64, of Chatham, Virginia departed this life on August 14, 2022 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
He was born December 17, 1957 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. He was the son of the late James and Mary J. Younger. He was married to Linda C. Younger, who survives.
He was a member of Rosebud Missionary Baptist Church, Chatham, Virginia.
In addition to his wife, he leaves to cherish his memories a son, Harold (Chris) Childress of Petersburg, VA and a daughter, Antoinette (Toni) Childress (Ricky) of Anchorage, AK, one sister, Carolyn Saunders (James) of Fort Worth, TX, two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. from Rosebud Missionary Baptist Church, Chatham, VA with Pastor Joan Tarpley-Robinson, Eulogist. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Burial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
Masks are required for all services.
