Mrs. Tanya Carter Logan, 59, of 223 Woodlawn Heights, Chatham, VA, passed away peaceful Thursday, October 20, 2022 in Lynchburg General Hospital.
She was born January 4, 1963 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Mack Carter Jr. and Rosa Fitzgerald Carter, who survives. She was married to Jerald M. Logan, who survives.
She attended the public schools in Pittsylvania County.
Tanya was a member of Greater Triumph Missionary Baptist Church, Courts of Calanthe of Shockoe, and the NAACP, and was employed by the Department of Social Service.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by a daughter, Briandra J. Logan, of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Levon J, Carter and Justin Carter, both of Richmond, VA; a sister, Letitia C, (Vincent) Bouldin, of Norfolk, VA; nieces, nephews other relative and friends
Viewing will be Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. from the Chapel of Howerton Funeral Home the family will be present from 6-7.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. from Greater Triumph Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. Anthony Ferebee, Eulogist. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Masks are required for all services.
