Stewart Smith Obituary

Mr. Stewart Smith, 74, of 215 Rison St., Chatham, Virginia: departed this life Wednesday September 2, 2020 at the Piedmont Geriatric Hospital in Burkeville, VA.

He was born March 22, 1946 to the late James Smith and Rebecca Townes Smith of Chatham, Va. He was a member Wilson Memorial Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memories 3 sisters: Sterling Smith of Chatham, VA., Mary Ann Witcher (Maurice) of Chatham, VA., and Berdie Younger of Jersey City, NJ.

Funeral service will be Tuesday September 8th, 2020 at 2 P.M from the chapel of Howerton Funeral Home by Reverend Anthony McClary. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.

Due to COVID-19; face mask and spacing is required.

Howerton Funeral Home is assisting the Smith family.
