Sammie Toy Fitzgerald Jr.

Mr. Sammie Toy Fitzgerald Jr., 65, of 432 Hodnett Mill Road, Chatham, Virginia, passed away at his residence.

He was born January 6, 1955 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. He was the son of the late Sammie Toy Fitzgerald Sr. and the late Loueberta Clark Fitzgerald. He was also predeceased by two sisters and a nephew, Gloria Hicks, Alice Fitzgerald, and Jason Hicks.

He was a member of Greater Triumph Missionary Baptist Church. He was retired from Pittsylvania County Social Service.

Survivors include one sister, Emma Fitzgerald Bennett, of Chatham, VA; one brother, Bryant Fitzgerald (Karen), of Danville, VA; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., from the chapel.
