Samel Lamont Carter

Samuel Lamont Carter, 43, of 3219 Hatchet Bay, Charleston, SC, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 at his residence.
Born July 9, 1974 in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Samuel Lee Carter Jr. and Connie C. Carter, who survives.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, and a hazardous waste truck driver.
In addition to his mother he is survived by a daughter, Ashley Rose Carter, of Danville; a brother, Percy Averette (Blenda), of Miami, FL, two sisters, Percette Averette, of Danville, and Ta Lowery, of Blairs, three nieces, two nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. from the Chapel of Howerton Funeral Home . Interment with military rites will be in Hillcrest Burial Park, Chatham, VA.
Viewing will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Howerton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
