Rodney James Walton

Rodney James Walton, 49, of 533 Beverly Heights Rd., Chatham, VA, departed this life March 6, 2020.

He was born August 10, 1970 in Virginia. He is predeceased by his father, the late Paul Walton Sr.

Rodney was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Gretna, Va. where he was a member of the Antioch Male Chorus.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Twanda Walton of the residence, his mother Lorraine Walton of Chatham, Va., one son Rodney Walton Jr. (Acheya Thorpe) of Greensboro, NC., two brothers; Rev. Paul Walton Jr. (Bessie) and Robert Walton both of Chatham, Va.; mother- in law, Delores Smith and sister-in -law, Latoya Smith (Kelly Thompson) both of Chatham, Va., two nieces Lakyah Walton of Chatham, Va., Mariah Walton of Danville, VA, two nephews Marcus Walton and Jaylen Thompson both of Chatham, VA, and one deceased nephew Chris Walton, five aunts; Janice Price of Chatham, VA, Pasty Glass and Connie Walton of Danville, VA, Pauline Bennett and Stella Walton of Gretna, VA, Diane Miller (Jeffrey) of Altavista, VA, Patricia Walton of Lynchburg, VA, two uncles Wesley Walton (Charlene) of Lynch Station, VA, William Walton (Tammy) of Reidsville, NC, and a host of cousins and a pet companion whom he loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 13, 2020 at Antioch Baptist Church in Chatham, VA with Bishop William Tarpley officiating. Burial will be held in church cemetery.

Viewing will be held Thursday March 12, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
