Robert Thurman Berger

Mr. Robert Thurman Berger, 70, of 301 McMichen Street, Baltimore, Maryland passed away Friday 13, 2021 at his residence.

He was born December 9, 1948 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. He was the son of the late Robert Lee and Nannie Fitzgerald Berger. He was married to Ruth M. Berger, who predeceased him. He was also predeceased by a daughter, Michelle Berger.

Survivors include his children, Kevin Berger of Greensboro, NC, and Rosslyn Berger Gunter of Danville, VA; three brothers, Gerald Berger, James Berger (Nancy), all of Chatham, VA and Johnnie Berger, of the Fiji Islands; five sisters, Sarah Williams, Ocala, FL, Sally Steptoe, Riverdale, MD, Deloris Rhyne (Elder Ralph), Brenda B. Jackson, and Mae Hinnant (James), all of Chatham, VA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be Sunday, August 22, 2021 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Howerton Funeral Home with Elder Ralph Rhyne, Eulogist. Interment will follow in Bell Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Viewing will be one hour prior to service.

Face mask are required for all services.
