Randy Anderson

Mr. Randy Anderson, 69, of 1107 Maison Dr., Blairs, Virginia, departed this life, Saturday, June 14, 2025 in SOVAH Health Danville.

He was born November 25, 1955 in Halifax County.  He was the son of the late Nat and Sallie Jones Anderson. He was married to Christine Anderson, who survives. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lander and Jerome Anderson.

He was a graduate of Halifax County Public School. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

He was a member of Mountain Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He served on the Deacon Board, Past Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School Teacher, Bible School Teacher, President of the Scholarship Committee, and Past Treasurer of Pittsylvania County NAACP.

In addition to his wife of the residence, he is survived by two daughters; Rhonda Owens (Norman) of Atlanta, GA and Shonda Anderson of Blairs, VA; four grandchildren; Toni K. Owens, Juwan Owens, Jordan Anderson and Marques Owens; three brothers; Daniel Anderson (Nadine) of Galax, VA, Duncan Anderson of Semora, NC and Ray Anderson (Seletha) of South Carolina; two sisters; Karen Renaud (Steve) of Greensboro, NC and J. Mechell Anderson of Asheville, NC; father and mother -in- law; Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Ewell, three sisters-in- law, uncles, aunts, a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. from Mt. Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Christopher Pritchett, Eulogist. Interment with Military Rites will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, June 20, 2025 4-6 p.m. from the Chapel of Howerton Funeral Home.
