Perlie Hortense Echols Carter

Mrs. Perlie Hortense Echols Carter, 97 formerly of 2933 Dry Fork Road, Dry Fork, Virginia, passed peacefully on Monday, December 11, 2017 in SOVAH Health Center, Danville, VA.
Hortense was born January 22, 1920 in Pittsylvania County, to the late Douglas and Mary Carter Echols. She was married to the late Charlie Carter.
She is survived by her son, Joe Echols (Linda), grandchildren, Herbert (Crystal) and Linette Echols all of Dry Fork; a great grandson, Joshua Echols of Blacksburg, VA; brother, Noble Echols of Danville, VA.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at White Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1440 Dry Fork Road, Dry Fork, VA, with Pastor Edward L. Pope officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m., the family will be present from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family is at the residence of her son, Joe A. Echols, 4646 Dry Fork Road, Dry Fork, VA.
