Ola Mae Howerton Daniels

Mrs. Ola Mae Howerton Daniels, 78, of 1206 Union Church Rd., Halifax, VA, departed this life Tuesday, February 6, 2018 in Sentra Woodview Nursing Home in South Boston, VA.
Ola was born August 22, 1939 in Halifax County, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late James and Bertha Jones Howerton.
She attended Halifax County Schools, after graduating she relocated to Washington, DC; Ola was employed by Holiday Inn and Arlington Hospital. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, Arlington, VA.
She retired and relocated back to South Boston, VA reunited with Mountain Grove Missionary Church and joined the Senior Choir.
She is survived by one son Willie B. Howerton (Polly), of Safford, VA; two brothers Willie Howerton (Gloria), of Halifax, VA, and Harry B. Howerton (Frances), of Laurel, MD: two grandchildren, Monica Carter, of Danville, VA, and Willie Betts (Kesha), of Halifax, VA; nine great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be Saturday February 10, 2018 at 12pm from Mountain Grove Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. Thomas L. Divens. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Viewing will be Friday February 9, 2018 from 4-7 pm at the funeral home.
