Nettie B. Jones

Mrs. Nettie B. Jones, 94, of 3140 Coleman Mountain Road, Java, Virginia, departed this life Wednesday, January 22, 2020 in SOVAH Health, Danville, Virginia.

She was born October 1, 1925 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Pastor and Myrtle Bennett Guy. She was married to the late Clifton Jones.

She was a member of Greater Triumph Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons Roy Jones (Deborah), Java, VA, Paul Jones, Washington, D.C, and Larry Jones (Kay), Danville, VA; three daughters, Nellie Poteat (Willie), Bladensburg, MD, Ida Harris (Jerry), and Cynthia Jones, all of Danville, VA; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be Monday, January 27, 2020 at 12:00 a.m. from Greater Triumph Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. Michael K. Ferrell. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Viewing will be Sunday from 4-7 p.m. from the chapel of Howerton Funeral Home.
