Maude Pope

Mrs. Maude Pope, 98, of 656 Vernon Hill, Virginia, died Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at her residence. She was born February 5, 1919, the daughter of the late Charlie and Elsie Dixon Stephens. She was married to Ivery Pope, who predeceased her.

She was a member of Countyline Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a son, Howard Pope.

Survivors include one son, Ira Pope (Annie), of Java, VA; four daughters, Clara Pope, of Keeling, VA, Mary, Hilda and Yolanda Pope, all of the residence; 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service for Mrs. Pope will be Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from Countyline Baptist Church by Rev. Otis Dillard. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Viewing will be one hour prior to the service.
