Marie Reese

Mrs. Marie White Reese, 95, of Niagara Falls, New York and formerly of Chatham, Virginia, departed this life Wednesday, February 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion.

She was born February 12, 1930 in Chatham, Virginia, to the late Katie White and Burt Bowman. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Robert F. Hunt, Jr. and siblings Mitt, Bobby, Johnny, Dallas, and Susie White.

She attended school in Chatham, VA, Donora, PA, and Buffalo, NY, becoming the owner of her own Beauty Salon.

She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, where she served faithfully until her health failed.

She is survived by her loving son, Trent Reese, her daughter-in-law, Dr. Rhonda Reese of North Carolina, a brother, Freddie White, of Chatham, VA; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family and friends.

Graveside service will be Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., at Greater Triumph Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Antonio Logan, Eulogist.
