Marie Guy

Mrs. Marie Guy, 86, of 1565 Malmaison Road, Blairs, Virginia departed this life Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Duke University Hospital, Durham, NC.
She was born February 8, 1932 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Howard and Louise Jones Clark. She was married to the late Obrey Guy.
Mrs. Guy was a member of Greater Triumph Missionary Baptist Church, a member of the Kitchen Committee, Senior Ministry, and Food Bank. She was retired from Lorillard Tobacco Company.
She was predeceased by one brother, Harry Clark.
Survivors include her children, Randy Guy(Elner), Myrtle Guy, all of Blairs, VA, Brenda Inge (Anthony), Danville, VA and Doris Dickson (Rev. Herbert), Durham, NC; four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, three sisters, Bettye Evans, Brooklyn, NY, Clementine Jacobs, and Viola Logan (Jessie), VA, all of Danville, VA; one aunt, Lover K. Guy; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 1 p.m. from Greater Triumph Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. Michael Ferrell. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Viewing will be Monday from 4-7 p.m. from the chapel of Howerton Funeral Home. The family will be present from 6-7 p.m.
