Mable Fitzgerald (Pee Wee) Guy

Mrs. Mable (Pee Wee) Fitzgerald Guy, 80, of 1161 Henrys Mill Road, Java, Virginia, entered into a peaceful rest Friday, August 30, 2019 in SOVAH Health Center in Danville, Virginia.

She was born December 10, 1938 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late William and Bessie McLaughlin Fitzgerald. She was married to O.T. Guy, who predeceased her.

She was a member of Shockoe Missionary Baptist Church, a member of the Gospel Choir and Usher Board. She was employed by Chatham Knitting Mill and Chatham Hall.

In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a son, Ricky Guy, two brothers, George and Herman Fitzgerald and two sisters, Margaret F. Daniels and Clara F. Vaden.

Survivors include a son, Corey Guy, Orlando, Fl.; five daughters, Etta (Penny) Guy Jones (Jarvis), Sharpsburg, GA, Renee❜ Guy Johnson (Leon), Crestview, Fl., Rhonda Guy, Newnan, GA, Angela Guy, Java, VA; Myra Guy, Mableton, GA; 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; three siblings, William Isaac Fitzgerald, Carrie Womack, both of Halifax, VA, and Carolyn King (George), Philadelphia, Penn.; one aunt, Thelma Fitzgerald, Java, Va; two sisters-in-law, Nettie Jones and Lover Kate Guy, one brother-in-law, John Daniels; a devoted friend, Rebecca Barksdale, all of Java, VA; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 1 p.m. from Shockoe Baptist Church by Rev. Antonel Myler. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Viewing will be Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. form the chapel of Howerton Funeral Home.
