Lois Benita Jones

Mrs. Lois Benita Jones, 50, of 2011 Walkers Well Road, Chatham, Virginia departed this life Sunday, March 24, 2019 at her residence.
She was born September 1, 1968 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Eddie Carter and Geneva Carter Davis, who survives. She was married to Danny Jones Sr., who survives.
She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, a member of the Senior Choir, Gospel Chorus, Voices of Faith, Deaconess Board, and assistance Trustee. She was employed as manager of Hardee❜s for many years.
Lois is survived by her husband, Danny Jones Sr., of the residence, two sons, Danny Jones Jr. (Quanesha), and Jeremy N. Jones (Natasha), all of Danville, VA; two grandchildren; a brother, Eddie L. Carter, Jr., of Texas; a sister, Genora Carter Jones, Danville, VA; step-father, Leon G. Davis, Chatham, VA; three step-sisters, three step-brothers, six uncles and five aunts, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service for Mrs. Jones will be Friday, March 29, 2019 at 11 a.m. from Antioch Baptist Church by Rev. William H. Tarpley. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Viewing will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. from the Chapel of Howerton Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Davis, 1137 Toshes Road, Chatham.
