Linda Petty

Miss Linda Petty, 58, of 1420 Abbott Place, Chatham, Virginia departed this life unexpectedly, Monday, January 6, 2025 at SOVAH Health Danville.

She was born December 2, 1966 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia.  She was the daughter of the late James H. and Margaret Womack Petty.

She was employed by Unique Industries in Blairs, Virginia.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving son, Lamontae D. Petty of Danville, VA; five brothers, Howard Jr., Roy Lee, both of Chatham, VA, Willie (Janice), Steve J. (Wendy) and Andre Petty all of Danville, VA; two sisters, Cynthia and Louise Petty both of the residence; a granddaughter, Amilloyania Petty (MiMi) of Danville, VA; a uncle, Arthur Lee Petty(Sylvia); seven aunts, Sally B. Lewis, Bessie P. Barley, Emma Simms (George), Florence Davis, Roberta Younger-Carden, Betty Womack and Sarah Womack; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. from Shockoe Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Antonel A. Myler, Sr., Eulogist. Interment will follow in the Christ in You Worship Center Cemetery, Vernon Hill, VA.

Visitation will held Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 4-6 p.m. from the Chapel of Howerton Funeral Home.
