Leon Fitzgerald

Mr. Leon Fitzgerald, 63, of 215 Hurt Street, Chatham, Virginia departed this life Monday, April 15, 2019 at his residence.
He was born October 27, 1955 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. He was the son the late Wilmon Fitzgerald and Nannie Fitzgerald Hodnett, who survives.
He was predeceased by a sister, Ester Mae Fitzgerald.
In addition to his mother, he survived by two brothers, Mack Arthur Fitzgerald, of Chatham, VA, and Ray Charles Fitzgerald (Rhonda), of Martinsville, VA; a sister, Juanita Myers (Maurice), of Chatham, VA; four aunts, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 19, 2019 at 12 noon from the Chapel of Howerton Funeral Home by Rev. Anthony McClary.
Viewing will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Myers, 2376 Strawberry Road, Chatham.
