Josephine Gee

Miss Josephine Gee, 63, of 244 Concord Road, Chatham, Virginia, departed this life on Thursday, September 5, 2019.

She was born August 2, 1956 in Pittsylvania County. She was the daughter of the late Willie H. Sr. and Bessie White Gee.

She was a member of New Hope A.M.E. Church, a Local Preacher of the A.M.E. Churches, and a member of the Eastern Star. She was retired from General Motors.

Survivors include, two brothers, Willie H. Gee Jr. (Dee), of Columbus, Ohio and Victor L. Gee, of Laurel. MD; six sisters, Jean G. Christie, Lawrenceville, NJ, Barbara G. Ferguson, Yorktown, VA, Ernestine G. Howell, Greensboro, NC, Mary G. Waller (Fredrick), Danville, VA, Jacqueline G. King (Earlevon) Chatham, VA, and Karen G. Fallen (Michael), Ringgold, VA; devoted cousins, Idell Ghee, Millard A. Jones, Chatham, VA, and Darlene Wither, Pittsville, VA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be Monday, September 9, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. from the chapel of Howerton Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Howerton Funeral Home by Rev. Otelia Barksdale Osahon. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Burial Park, Chatham, VA.
