Mrs. Jewel C. Williams, 65, of 557 Hickory Road, Chatham, Virginia, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019 in Hospice Home in High Point, NC.
She was born August 14, 1953 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. She was the daughter of Elnora Robertson Childress and the late Little Tom Childress Sr., she was married to Charles Henry Williams, who predeceased her.
Mrs. Williams was a member of Greater Triumph Missionary Baptist Church, and was employed by Nestle Co.
In addition to her mother she is survived by three daughters, Kimberley Lee (Arrie), Clear Water, FL, Nicole Otiz (Hector), Cape Town, South Africa, and Carlata Williams, Chatham, VA; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren; one brother, Little Tom Childress Jr., Columbus, SC; five sisters, Navy Tunstall, Lilly Childress, Amanda White (Keith), all of Chatham, VA, Rita Childress (Herbert), Blairs, VA, and Wanda Dawson (Bruce), Danville, VA.; nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
Funeral service for Mrs. Jewel C. Williams will be Friday, February 8, 2019 at 2 p.m. from Greater Triumph Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. Michael K. Ferrell. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Viewing will be from the Chapel of Howerton Funeral Home on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 4-7 p.m., the family will be present from 6-7 p.m.
The family is at the residence of her sister, Ms. Lilly Childress, 201 Woodlawn Heights, Chatham, VA.
