Jene Elbert Williams

Mr. Jene Elbert Williams, 76, of 1087 Fall Creek Road, Ringgold, Virginia, departed this life Saturday, August 12, 2017 in Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital in South Boston, Virginia.

He was born September 2, 1940 in Halifax County, Virginia. He was the son of the late James and Pauline Brandon Williams. He was married to the late Leola Rodgers Williams.

He is survived by four children, Jene William, Jr, of Kentucky, Angela Williams, Wanda W. Edmunds (Irvin), all of Ringgold, VA, and Regenia William, of Richmond, VA; his devoted friend Belinda Walters; eight grandchildren, six sisters; Joyce Ward, Lois Graves (Lorenzo), Ann Pritchett (Nelson), Hilda Withers (James), Linda Williams and Jerline Williams, a host of other relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by one grandson Mario Williams, one brother Ralph Williams and one sister Naomi Rodgers.

Graveside service for Mr. Williams will be conducted Friday August 18, 2017 at 1 p.m. in Hackberry Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Hubert Pannell.

Viewing will be held Thursday from 4-7pm from the Chapel of Howerton Funeral Home.

Family will receive guest at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Irvin Edmunds, 1087 Fall Creek Road, Ringgold Virginia.
