Mrs. Jean A. Williams, 83, of 972 Abbott Place, Chatham, Virginia, departed this life Saturday, October 6, 2018.
She was born March 11, 1935 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Lena Vaden. She was married to the late Harvey Lee Williams.
She was a member of Shockoe Baptist Church, and was employed by Dan River Mills.
Two daughters, Myrlin Williams and Jean Harris; siblings, Harold, Troy, Lawrence, Joseph, William, Jack, Harry, William Jenning Vaden, Malinda Watkins and Josephine Vaden, all predeceased her.
Survivors include, three daughters, Jackie Coleman (Roger), Patricia Childress (James), all of Chatham, VA. and Christine Price, of Danville, VA; 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; one brother, Charlie Vaden, of Gretna, VA; nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service for Mrs. Williams will be Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 1 p.m. from Shockoe Baptist Church by Rev. Larry Daye. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
