James "Tony" Scott

Mr. James “Tony” Scott, 65, of Summerfield, NC, departed this life on Sunday, March 17, 2024 in Lexington Medical Center, Lexington, NC.

He was born November 10, 1958 in Queens, NY. He was the son of Wesley Scott and Corine Witcher Coleman. He was married to Anitra M. Scott. He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Gregory Scott.

He was a 1976 graduate of Chatham High School and veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He leaves to cherish in his memory his wife, Anitra M. Scott; two daughters Renéè Nichétte Scott and Tristan D'Vay Nichole Scott; his mother, Corine Coleman (James); a brother Michael Witcher, step-sister, Tonkaneka C. Ferrell, step-son Aaron L. McGlothin (Stephanie), and stepdaughter Tiffany Fitts; four grandchildren and one great-grandson, a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Howerton Funeral Home.
