Hattie Jones Terry

Mrs. Hattie Jones Terry, 79, of 765 Mac Road, Blairs, Virginia, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017 at her residence.

Born December 24, 1938 in Pittsylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Jim Henry Jones and the late Pansy Jones. She was married to Jimmy Louis Terry.

She was a member of Shockoe Baptist Church, a member of the Usher Board and Missionary Society. She was retired from Dan River Mills. She was educated in Pittsylvania County Public School System.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by one daughter, Penny Jones, ten siblings, Geraldine Jones, Mary Staples, Elizabeth Jones, Julia Copland, Thelma Wright, Abraham, Jimmy, John, David and Caleb Jones.

Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Jones, of Danville, VA; two granddaughters, Khadijah S. Jones and Sabrina K. Jones, both of Greensboro, NC; one brother, Willie J. Jones (Flap), of Java, VA, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service for Ms. Terry will be conducted Wednesday, June 7, 2007 at 1p.m. from Shockoe Baptist Church by Rev. Antonel A. Myler, Sr. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Viewing will be one hour prior to service.
