Mr. Harold M. Logan, 70, of Hurt, VA departed this life Monday, October 28, 2024 in Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.
He was born June 18, 1954 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. He was the son of the late Bossie Sr. and Almedia Lovelace Logan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Logan and Cylonia Hubbard and his infant brother.
He was educated in the Pittsylvania County School System and graduated from Danville Community College with a degree in Accounting. He was retired from Abbott Laboratories in Altavista after many years of employment.
He was a member of Riceville Missionary Baptist Church in Java, Virginia.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a sister, Jerdean Luck (Earnest) of Vernon Hill, Virginia; two brothers, Bossie Logan, Jr. (Joyce) of Java, Virginia and Bishop Spencer Logan, Sr. (Marian) of Surry, Virginia; his aunt, Mattie Plunkett of Java, Virginia; brother-in-law, Berlie Hubbard of Gretna, Virginia; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 1, 2024 at 12:00 noon from the Chapel of Howerton Funeral Home with Bishop Spencer Logan Sr., Eulogist. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Burial Park, Chatham, Virginia.
Viewing will be one hour prior to service.
