Getrude Ross

Mrs. Gertrude Ross, 92, of Dry Fork, Virginia, departed this life Friday, September 22, 2017 in Chatham Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born March 15, 1925 in Pittsylvania County she was the daughter of the late Spencer and Ellen Smith Motley. She was married to the late Clifton Ross.

She was a member of White Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, three sisters Sally Tunstall, Nannie King and Frances Motley preceded her in death.

She survived by two brothers, James Motley, of Danville, VA, and Freedie Motley, of Bronx, NY; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral service for Mrs. Ross will be conducted Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 12:00 noon from White Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. Edward Pope.

Burial will be in the Tunstall Family Cemetery, Dry Fork.
