Evangelist Pearl Fitzgerald Perry, age 101, of 173 Moses Mill Road, Chatham, Virginia departed her well spent life on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 in Chatham Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born April 3, 1917 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late John and Eva Davis Fitzgerald. She was married to the late Willie Perry. She also predeceased by eleven brothers, Wyatt, Russell, William, John, Wilmer, Irvin, George, Harvey, Bill, Oscar and Kinley; three sisters, Rose, Bertha and Versie.
Evangelist Perry attended Green Rock Pentecostal Holiness Church. She loved to play the guitar and organ.
She is survived by a sister, Bessie Gregory, Toledo, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Eula Fitzgerald, of Chatham, VA; Care givers, Frank Terry and Tamara Jeffries; an adopted nephew, Kenneth Fitzgerald; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be Monday, September 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Howerton Funeral Home by Rev. Antonel Myler. Interment will follow in the Fitzgerald Family Cemetery.
Viewing will be Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
