Evangeline ‶Sister″ Jones. 68, of 203 Broad Street, Danville, Virginia, departed this life Sunday, November 17, 2019.
She was born November 11, 1951 in Pittsylvania County. She was the daughter of the late Charlie J. and Angeline Chattin Jones. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, James Hebert and Charles Henry Jones.
Evangeline was a member of Christ Church in Alexandria, Virginia and was a volunteer of the Food Pantry.
Survivors include a brother, Clarence Edward Jones (Mary Elizabeth) of Mitchellville, Maryland; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
Funeral service for Miss Jones will be Friday, November 22, 2019 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Howerton Funeral Home by Minister Alex Witcher. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Burial Park, Chatham, VA.
Viewing will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m., the family will be present from 6-7 p.m. at Howerton Funeral Home.
The family will be at the residence of her sister-in-law, Anita Venable, 109 Downy Lane, Danville, VA., from 2-5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
Howerton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
