Elsie Toller

Mrs. Elsie Toller, 90, of 1261 Mill Creek Road, Chatham, Virginia, entered into a peaceful rest, Saturday, April 8, 2023 at her residence.

She was born November 8, 1932 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Preston and Gracie Fitzgerald Stone. She was married to John Toller, who predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her son, Billy Wayne Toller, her siblings, James, Charlie, John, George, Virginia, Gertrude and Pernella.

She was the last of her generation.

She was a member of Shockoe Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Jerry Toller of Chatham, VA; two daughters, Edith Stone-Knight (Irvin) of Norfolk, VA and Mae Stone- Minter (Ronnie) of Chatham, VA; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 13, 2023 3- 6 p.m. from the Chapel of Howerton Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from Shockoe Baptist Church with Eld. Ella J. Pass, Eulogist. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Masks are required for all services.
