Elnora White

Mrs. Elnora White, 80, of 848 Banister Road, Chatham, Virginia passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC.

She was born January 20, 1941 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Virgie Nibblett Butler. She was married to Nelson White, who predeceased her.

She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son Curtis White (Leslie), of Chatham; three daughters Linda Hairston, of Callands, Gloria Tarpley (Willie), and Tammer White, all of Chatham; two siblings, Junior Ray Butler and Kathrine Butler, both of Chatham; 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 1p.m. from the chapel of Howerton Funeral Home with Rev. William Dixon, Eulogist. Burial will be in Macedonia Church Cemetery.

Viewing will be Friday from 5-7 at the funeral home.

Masks are required for all services.
