Edward West

Mr. Edward West, 67, of 213 Snakepath Rd., Blairs, Virginia, departed this life, Thursday, June 26, 2025 at his residence.

He was born August 11, 1957 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia.  He was the son of the late Hayward Coles and Ernestine West Coleman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Nicole Lipford and brother, Vincent Coles.

He attended Pittsylvania County Public Schools. He was employed by Virginia International Raceway as a maintenance worker.

He leaves to cherish his memories a son; Edward Crider (Ashley) of Gretna, VA; three daughters; Tawanda Younger of Decatur, GA, Chiara West and Page Blackwell both of Danville, VA; six grandchildren; two brothers, Larry West of Capron, VA and Hayward Coles, Jr. of Phil., PA; three sisters, Cynthia Moore (Ronnie) of Waldorf, MD, Dorothy West and Pamela Williams both of Chatham, VA; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Howerton Funeral Home with Min. Prenceanna Craft, Eulogist.
