Edna Lee Richardson

Mrs. Edna Lee Richardson, 78, of Middletown, Delaware departed this life Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at her residence.
Born October 7, 1940 in South Boston, VA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Mable Williams. She was married to the late Samuel Richardson Jr.
She was a member of New Vernon Baptist Church, and later a member of St. Judah Missionary Baptist Church. She retired from George Washington University after 34 years of service.
Survivors include her children, Samuel Richardson III, Forestville, MD, Felicia Richardson, Delaware, and Berrick, Washington, DC; two granddaughters: Tiffany Augusta, GA., and Takia of Washington D.C., three great-granddaughters: Asia, Nyra, and Jorri, three sisters: Mary Penick, South Boston, VA., Yvonne(Ira) Jennings, Bowie, MD., and Janice Williams, Danville, VA; two god-daughters, Denise Haggans, Washington D.C. and Cynthia Bey, Seat Pleasant, MD; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by one Brother Samuel Jr. and two sisters Gerlean Williams, and Lucille Jones.
Funeral service for Mrs. Richardson will be Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 1 p.m. from New Vernon Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. William Howerton. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Viewing will be one hour prior to service.
