Dr. Arlene Carter

Dr. Arlene Carter, 66, of 3224 Brookside Road, Axton, Virginia, departed this life Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at her residence.
She was born September 20, 1952 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, to the late Edward and Marion Gravely Carter.
She was employed with the Pittsylvania County School System, and was a member of New Sharon Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include three brothers, Kenneth (Mildred) Carter, Wendell (Janie) Carter, Phillip Carter, and one sister, Deborah Breedlove, all of Axton, VA., an adopted daughter, Tiva Cunningham; nieces, nephews other relative and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted Friday, November 16, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at New Sharon Grove Baptist Church by Pastor Larry Penn. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Viewing will be Thursday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeral home and from 12:00 noon Friday until the time of service at the church.
