Dorothy M. Lee

Mrs. Dorothy M. Lee, 96, of 1905 North Main Street, Danville, Virginia departed this life Monday, October 7, 2019 in SOVAH Health Care Center, in Danville.

She was born November 16, 1922 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Wesley and Mattie Fitzgerald Stamps. She was married to Collie Lee Jr., who predeceased her.

She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and was retired from Dan River Mills.

Survivors include three sons, Jerry M. Lee (Sharon), of Blairs, VA, Sherman D. Lee (Doris), and Marvin L. Lee, all of Danville, VA; three daughters, Jo Ann Coleman, Marion Lee, and Angela Fitzgerald, all of Danville, VA; 19 grandchildren and a host of greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephew, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 1 p.m. from Mt. Zion Baptist Church by Rev. Anthony Pass. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Viewing will be one hour prior to service.
