Desman L. DeJournette

Mr. Desman L. DeJournette. 33, of 218 Forest Road Drive, Danville, Virginia, departed this life Thursday, November 21, 2019 in SOVAH Health, Danville.

Born January 16, 1986 in Pittsylvania County; He was the son of Cleveland and Annett DeJournette. He was married to the former Britten Thornton.

Desman was a member of the Mountain Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He graduated from Dan River High School, and Danville Community College. He was employed by Delta Star in Lynchburg.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by one brother Lamour DeJournette, of Salisbury, N.C.; his father and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Evonda Thornton; 6 aunts, 1uncle, 1 great uncle, 1 great aunt, 2 nephews, and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be Monday, November 25, 2019 from Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Cascade, VA., at 12 noon, by Rev. Thomas L. Divens. Burial will follow in Mountain Grove Church Cemetery, South Boston, VA.      

Viewing will be Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. from the chapel of Howerton Funeral Home.
