Dennis E. Thompson

Mr. Dennis E. Thompson, 54, of 1152 North Main Street, Chatham, Virginia departed this life Friday, May 17, 2019 at his residence.
Dennis was born June 28, 1964 in Pittsylvania County he was the son of the late Irene Thompson.
He was retired from Hargrave Military Academy.
Survivors include three brothers, Michael Thompson (Teresa), of Danville, VA, Kenny Thompson, of Chatham, VA, and Jimmy Thompson (LaKysha), of Blairs, VA; four sisters, Mary Jones and Bernice Oakes, of Danville, VA; Debra T. Stone (Roosevelt), of Ringgold, VA, and Geraldine Thompson, of Chatham, VA; a devoted niece, Denysha Stone; a special friend, Brenda Carter; nieces, nephews and other relative and friends.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Howerton Funeral Home by Rev. Roosevelt Stone. Burial will be in Hillcrest Burial Park, Chatham.
Viewing will be Monday from 4-7 p.m. from the funeral home.
The family is at the residence of Geraldine Thompson, 215 Hurt Street, Chatham, VA.
