Brenda Stephens

Ms. Brenda Stephens, 57, of 611 Edgewood St., NE, Washington, D. C. departed this life Saturday, September 8, 2018 in Providence Hospital in Washington.
She was born June 15, 1961 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia to the late Carter and Rebecca Henry Stephens.
She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, and was retired from U.S. Department of Agriculture.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Samuel D. Stephens.
Survivors include a brother, Harry D. Stephens (Yvonne), Washington, DC; for sisters, Madela Luck (Louis), Java, VA, Gladys S. Barksdale (William), Vernon Hill, VA, Juanita Johnson (Ronald), Halifax, VA, and Karen Stephens, Greensboro, NC; a devoted companion, Ivin D. Thomas, two dear friends Samantha Speight and Robbie Singletary and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral service for Ms. Stephens will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday September 15, 2018 at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Viewing will be at the church one hour prior to the service.
