Bernester Marr Anderson

Mrs. Bernester Marr Anderson, 85, of 106 Davis Road, Chatham, Virginia departed this life Friday, October 4, 2019 in Roman Eagle Healthcare Center in Danville.

She was born April 4, 1934 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Rebecca Marr. She was married to Toy W. Anderson, who predeceased her.

She was a member of Cherrystone Baptist Church and was retired from Bassett-Walker Furniture Company.

Survivors include two sons, James E. Anderson (Gloria) and Jeffery Anderson, all of Richmond, VA; two daughters, Denice A. Walker, Richmond, VA, and Debra K. Anderson, Chatham, VA; 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Funeral service for Mrs. Anderson will be Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 1 p.m. from Cherrystone Baptist Church by Rev. Charles Kelly. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Viewing will be one hour prior to service. The family is at the residence 106 Davis Road, Chatham.
