Arthur Lee Womack

Mr. Arthur Lee Womack, 72 of 772 Java Road, Java, Virginia passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in Danville Regional Medical Center.

Born August 12, 1945 in Pittsylvania County, he was the son the late Burley Womack and Louise Logan Womack, who survives.

He was a member of Ricesville Baptist Church, a member the Usher Board and a member of Shockoe Masonic Lodge #244.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Jacqueline Daniels, of Sterling, VA; 3 grandchildren, T.C. Daniels, Chelsie Daniels and Shyra Daniels; two great grandchildren, Jeremiah Daniels and August Hill; 3 brothers, James Womack (Angie), Heulah Womack (Arnetta), of Danville, VA, and Larry Womack, Atlanta, GA; 7 sisters, Juanita Turner, Beulah Brown (Leonard), Leuvern Tarpley, all of Danville, VA; Norma J. Richardson, Patsy A. Womack, both of Java, VA, Annette Glenn (Dave), of Charlotte, NC, and Pearlean Wimbush (Ronnie), of Greensboro, NC; aunts, uncles, other relative and friends.

Funeral service for Mr. Womack will be Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11 a.m. from Ricesville Baptist Church by Rev. Ronnie Walker. Burial with Masonic rites will be in the Church Cemetery.

Viewing will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. from the chapel of Howerton Funeral Home, and Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the Church.

The family is at the residence of his mother, Mrs. Louise Womack, 772 Java Road, Java, VA.
