Ralph Bennett Obituary
Mr. Ralph Bennett, 82, of 416 North Main Street Chatham, VA departed this life December 13, 2022 at his residence.
He was born July 4, 1940 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. He was the son of the late Percy “Bill” and Ollie Coleman Bennett. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Allen, Edward, Ira, Alfonza, John, Robert Bennett and Katherine Bennett Younger.
He was the last of his generation.
He was of the Baptist faith and a self-employed carpenter.
He leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Timothy W. Bennett of Alexandria, VA and Marvin N. Bennett (Patsy) of Gretna, VA; two daughters, Roslyn Bennett Nieves (Donnie) of Ashburn, VA and Leslie D. Bennett of Chatham, VA; six grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Exella Bennett of Killeen, TX and JoAnn Bennett of Chatham, VA, a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 19, 2022 at 12 Noon from the Chapel of Howerton Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Williams, Eulogist. Viewing will be one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Burial Park, Chatham, VA.
Masks are required for all services.
