Lillie Polk

Mrs. Lillie Polk, 87, of 348 Brownsville Height, Java, Virginia departed this life Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at her residence.

She was born January 21, 1935 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, to the late Jefferson and Gertrude Womack. She was married to Arbar Lee Polk, who predeceased her.  She is also predeceased by five brothers George, William, John, Raymond and Maynard; five sisters, Elizabeth, Katherine, Shirley, Myrtle, and Estella.

She was a member of County Line Baptist Church, Vernon Hill, VA.

She was educated in the Pittsylvania County Public Schools.

She leaves to cherish her memories a son, Robert Polk (Estelle), of Nathalie, VA , granddaughter, Stephanie of South Boston, VA and great-granddaughter, Destiny; one brother, James; one sister, Carolyn; sisters-in-law, Della and Ellen, nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. from the Chapel of Howerton Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from County Line Baptist Church, Vernon Hill, VA with Rev. Otis Dillard, Eulogist. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
