Charlie Williams

Mr. Charlie Williams, 78, of 19961 Old Richmond Rd. Keeling, Virginia, departed this life on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at his residence.

He was born September 9, 1944 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. He was the son of the late Bernard Lee and Charlotte Jackson Williams. He was predeceased by his son Charlie Williams, Jr., three brothers and a grandson.

He was a member of Mt. Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Betts(Dale) of Roxboro, NC and Shawanda Williams(Monica) of Brown Summitt, NC; a brother, James Williams (Betty) of Vernon Hill, VA; four sisters, Cecil Williams (Turevillian) of Washington, DC, Susie L. Ewell (Johnnie), Mary Togans, both of Vernon Hill, VA and Martha Marable of Keeling, VA, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 12 Noon from Mt. Grove Missionary Baptist Church, South Boston, VA with Elder William Howerton, Eulogist. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held one hour prior to service.

Masks are required for all services.
